Nikolaus Weiskopf is Director of the Neurophysics Department at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany. 

He is an expert in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods and their application to neuroimaging. His current research focus is to develop functional and anatomical microstructure imaging using MRI, in order to study structure, function and their interplay at the microstructural level.
